 TADASHI BEGAN HIS PIANO STUDIES AT THE AGE OF ELEVEN. HIS UNSTOPPABLE PASSION FOR MUSIC QUICKLY ENRICHED HIS MUSICALITY AT A YOUNG AGE AND LED HIM TO EARLY SUCCESSES INCLUDING TOP PRIZES AT REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS IN JAPAN 

He entered Japan’s most prestigious music school Toho Gakuen at the age of fourteen. He is a graduate of Toho Gakuen, Texas Christian University and the Royal Academy of Music.  As a prize winner of several international competitions in Japan and USA, he began his concert career as both a soloist and chamber player. He has performed in Japan, England, Scotland, Ireland, Finland, USA and most of the European countries. Some of his major concert venues include Carnegie Hall (New York), Suntory Hall (Tokyo), the Wigmore Hall and Royal Festival Hall (London) and Romanian Athenaeum (Bucharest).  He has played with some of the world’s leading artists including the violinists Maurice Hasson, Mayumi Fujikawa, Richard Deakin and Lydia Mordkovich, the violists Hartmut Rohde and Yuko Inoue and cellists Emma Ferrand and Richard Markson.  He has given more than twenty concerti with orchestra, including the piano concertos Chopin No 1 with Osaka Symphoniker, Tchaikovsky No 1 with Fort Worth Symphony (USA), Tchaikovsky No 2 (the rarely performed original version) with the State Philharmonic of Sibiu (Romania), Stravinsky’s piano concerto with the Royal Academy Orchestra, Rachmaninoff’s No 3 with Feruerwerk Symphoniker and many more.  Tadashi was made a Junior Fellow at the Academy before being appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in 2008. Since 2003, Tadashi has been working with Professor György Pauk’s violin class. He has been the official accompanist and concert artist at many competitions and festivals including the Menuhin International Violin Competition, the Bartók Festival (Hungary), the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition, the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition, the London Masterclasses, Lake District Summer Music, Middelburg Festival in Holland and many more.

In 2015 Tadashi started organising themed concerts in London and Japan which focus on a composer, country or culture, to connect more deeply with his audiences, all of which have been fully attended.

He is a piano teacher at the Junior Academy and the Queen Elizabeth’s School and is a resident piano accompanist for the Academy.

His chamber music CD is available from various labels including Naxos and Dux.

Tadashi studied piano with Christopher Elton, Tamás Ungár, Hidemitsu Hayashi, Mieko Nakagawa, Hiroshi Tajika, Kazuyo Ueda and chamber music with Michael Dussek, Clifford Benson and Shuku Iwasaki.
